Individual Workshops

Individuals interested in specific topics can join a class scheduled throughout the year to address their individual anti-bias concerns.   These classes will be 2 hours per topic.  To join a class please select a class topic and you will be contacted regarding the next date available.

  • Why Race Matters – A workshop for individuals that helps to explore the foundational principles of identity in understanding inequity, to transform thought and increase justice.  
  • Implicit Bias – Gain an improved understanding of bias and solutions to address the inequities it causes
  • Cognitive Theories of Race and Bias – Explore the brain science of bias and get strategies to address these issues
  • Micro Aggressions – Address concerns about microaggressions and how to move beyond the damage they create in multicultural engagement
  • Exploring Colorblindness – What is the colorblind ideology and how does it impact justice
  • How to wield your Power –  How can you better understand the power dynamics privilege, power and the dominant narrative
  • Saviorism or Allyship – How can you ally with marginalized communities without saviorism encroaching on your engagement

  • Cross Cultural Communication – communication across cultural lines can improve relationships with colleagues and clients.  Learn to improve these skills
  • Injustice in the system of justice – Is lady Justice blind?   Discuss the current state of our justice system and how it can evolve
  • Bias in the workplace – Address concerns of bias in hiring and promotion.  Develop strategies to advance
  • Bias in litigation – Develop strategies to address how bias encroaches litigation and how this can be reduced
